What are the duties of the Regional Development Bureaus? |
Charged with the task of promoting a comprehensive systematic approach to policies, etc., concerning the use, development and preservation of the resources related to national land, infrastructure, and transportation, as well as consistency in its operations, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has divided Japan into eight (8) regional districts and established Regional Development Bureaus in each area.
There are eight (8) Regional Development Bureaus nationwide, including those in Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu, all working hard to provide support and future development in all of the local regions. We are also involved in the protection of life and property, through the public works listed below.
