The district around the Awaji Station of the Hankyu Railway has become a bottleneck causing vehicle and pedestrian congestion due to the railroad crossings of the Kyoto and Senri lines and the narrow streets of the closely packed urban area.

     Thus, we will conduct works designed to smooth the flow of traffic in the area, as well as reduce the number of accidents that occur at railroad crossings, through multi-level interchange works (grade separation works) and the associated elimination of railroad crossings at 17 locations, which will all function to restore unity to the urban land separated by the railways.

     Furthermore, through improvement works in the densely packed areas around the staion and the construction of a station plaza, we are promoting city planning appropriate for this important transportation junction.
