Enjoying Uji

Enjoying Uji

Uji is located just downstream from Amagase Dam. The city is home to two World Heritage sites: the Byodo-in and Ujigami Shrine. You can also enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and colorful foliage in fall along the Uji River, which tourists explore via sightseeing boats.

Uji is also famous for producing Japanese tea, and there are numerous spots where you can experience various aspects of tea culture. Be sure to enjoy sightseeing in Uji when you tour Amagase Dam.
